Held in London, on Thursday 6 October, the annual awards celebrated business and professional excellence in the commissioning sector. James was one of six finalists in his category that recognised individuals who have made a clear and positive contribution, to a technically challenging and/or commercially successful project or projects over the last 24 months.

“I was delighted and honoured to have been nominated in the first place, which in many respects felt like a victory. To have then gone on to win is a fantastic achievement for me and for the teams I have worked within over the years. Without them I couldn’t have delivered these prestigious projects.”

With 37 years in the commissioning industry, James is a highly skilled and adaptable Commissioning Manager who leads by example, mentoring our junior commissioning engineers and managers. During his career with CHt James has worked on several high-profile projects, most recently overseeing the category A office fit out at Soho Place, home to the first theatre to be built in London’s West End for 50 years.

Having only recently joined the CSA as a member company, we were delighted that both of our entries made the shortlist in their respective categories, which also included ‘Project of the Year’ for our work at Soho Place in London.
