Packaged Plant Rooms (PPR) are preassembled, factory-tested MEP modules designed using DfMA to accelerate delivery, improve programme certainty and quality. BIM-coordinated and maintainable, they minimise person hours on site, reduce risk and disruption, and integrate heating, cooling, water and controls, ensuring compliant plant for healthcare, commercial, infrastructure and regulated environments.

  • Heating and cooling: heat pumps (air/water/ground), CHW/LTHW generation, thermal stores, plate heat exchangers
  • Energy systems: CHP, boilers (gas/oil/electric), flues and dilution systems, BEMS integration, metering
  • Water systems: cold water storage, booster sets, filtration and treatment, softeners, dosing
  • Supports main plant items such as pumps, chillers, fans, plate heat exchangers, Electrical switch panels
  • Ventilation systems, DX Systems and Controllers
  • Leak detection and evacuation systems
  • Electrical switch panels, ATS, Harmonic Filters
  • Electrical and controls: distribution boards, control panels, BMS field devices, fire alarm interfaces, emergency lighting in plant space
  • Full Electrical and controls wiring installation, testing and certification
  • Building fabric: modular enclosures, access doors, louvres, platforms and handrails, acoustic and thermal insulation
  • Ancillaries: chemical dosing, pressurisation units, expansion vessels, strainers, valves, gauges, drip trays, leak detection
  • Structural/support: skid frames, bases, lifting frames, vibration isolation, builder work details for openings and plinths
  • DfMA-led engineering using repeatable standard modules adapted to project-specific requirements
  • BIM-enabled coordination (3D/4D/5D)
  • Maintainability embedded at concept and detail stages
  • Commissioning strategy embedded throughout concept and detail stages
  • Early engagement to confirm operational requirements and redundancy levels
  • Building Regulations, BS, EN and CIBSE guidance
