Paul McNerney, Business Unit Leader
As leader of Laing O’Rourke’s Crown House Technologies (CHt) delivery and manufacturing business, Paul McNerney is driving a programme of transformation aimed at embedding the Group’s innovation and excellence agenda. In a career spanning over 20 years with Laing O’Rourke Paul has wide experience in Construction and Infrastructure in the UK, Africa and Australia. Having worked in various Regional Commercial Leader roles Paul has also previously led our Plant, Logistics and Manufacturing businesses in the UK. His passion is building strong talented teams and supporting them in executing for our Clients. Following six years winning new work and delivering major schemes such as the Port Botany Expansion and Airly Mine projects in both Australia and South East Asia, Paul has been a key member of the Europe Hub Board since 2012. Most recently he’s overseen improved logistics’ capability, manufacturing improvements and has launched a new CHt operating model, all of which are crucial to Laing O’Rourke’s continued success.
Gavin Body, Operations Leader
Gavin is responsible for our UK projects in the South and has been with Crown House technologies since 2009. He currently oversees a number of developments within the residential, commercial, healthcare, education and research sectors, and prior to this role, led some of the most iconic developments in London including the completion of Number One Hyde Park and The Leadenhall Building. With a background in engineering and vast experience of tier one contracting, in recent years Gavin has worked on major projects, having been in the industry since 1999.
Shaun Higgins, Operations Leader
Shaun has operational responsibility for projects in the North of the UK, having been with Crown House technologies since 2008. Prior to this Shaun held a senior role in tier one Mechanical and Electrical contracting for over 15 years. He also has significant experience within the public and private sectors, including healthcare, education, retail, commercial, data centres, semiconductor and defence contracts. Projects include the retail development at Meadowhall Sheffield, Manchester Airport’s Transformation Programme and a number of complex healthcare schemes including St James Hospital in Leeds.
